PEOPLE URGED TO CONTINUE FOLLOWING COVID-19 PREVENTIVE MEASURES

Senior Chief phalula of Balaka District has appealed to his subjects to continue following the covid-19

preventive measures in a bid to control the spread of the Corona virus.

Phalula made this statement during the meeting organized by the Balaka DHO inoder to sensitive people about the vaccine.

The senior stressed that it is important to continue adhering to the following covid-19 preventive measures.

The senior Chief explained that the pandemic is still at its peak and there are many infections as hospitals are still experiencing increased numbers of covid 19 cases.

Therefore it is very important to continue to adhere to the restrictions imposed that do not allow meeting's social gatherings, and parties expect for the members of the same family or no more than five fully vaccinated people in the opening air during this period.

The senior chief also discouraged his subjects on conducting initiation ceremonies where he said is a bleeding ground of covid-19 pandemic.

The chief therefore called on community members and the police not to allow children to move around without wearing face masks as this would help in the spread of covid-19 virus.
